- My husband, Bill and I own Acorns Bakery & Cafe in needham, ma. We strive to make good high quality REAL food. I've been baking forever...started with my german grandmother teaching me to make brownies standing on her kitchen stool..eventually attended Johnson & wales...worked at ritz carlton, philadelphia, bay tower room, boston, etc. We've owned the bakery for 11 years!!!!
You could learn a lot from what Sweet Rue's had to offer. Not only was the food great, but the people were always friendly, and they gave back to Needham. I bet you don't miss her because you could never compete in any fashion.
